- In the allegiances, he is listed as Owlpaw's mentor.
- Smokefoot is on a patrol with Oakfur and Owlpaw, setting out to take over ThunderClan territory. After Oakfur taunts the ThunderClan patrol, Smokefoot asks them if they're so desperate for warriors that they need to train their most useless kits. When Brambleclaw informs them that they have moved borders, Smokefoot says that they will take what should be theirs and more.
- ThunderClan ends up attacking, and Smokefoot fights with Hollypaw. He jumps on top of her and rakes his claws across her flank. Graystripe tackles Smokefoot and wrestles him to the ground. Graystripe pummels his stomach, causing Smokefoot to yowl in agony. He lets Smokefoot go and lets him run back into ShadowClan territory.
