A leader is a warrior who is highest in the Clan Hierarchy. The leader is responsible for everything that goes on in a Clan.

Clan leaders are the heart of the Clan. Their personality effects everything, including how the Clan operates and how their warriors react to certain things. It is up to Clan leaders to set a good example. They call Clan meetings, appoint warriors, mentors, and apprentices, and decide Clan policy and strategy with their deputy. They also consult the medicine cat, the elders, and the senior warriors. When a cat becomes leader, he/she travels to the Moonstone (or after the Clans moved, the Moonpool. They recieve 9 lives and receive a new name with the suffix "-star". (Bluestar, Firestar, Blackstar, etc.)
